Hey everyone, I hope you’re having an amazing day today. Today, we’re going to make a special dish, sushi rice. One of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I will make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.
Here is my recipe for the perfect sushi rice. You can eat this alone or roll into your favorite sushi roll with ingredients of choice. I use strips of carrots, cucumbers and slices of avocado.
Sushi Rice is one of the most favored of recent trending meals on earth. It’s appreciated by millions every day. It is easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. Sushi Rice is something which I have loved my whole life. They’re fine and they look fantastic.
To get started with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can have sushi rice using 3 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.
The ingredients needed to make Sushi Rice:
- Prepare 400 grams sushi rice
- Get 400 ml cold water
- Take 75 ml sushi rice vinegar
For that, you will need a good recipe like this one and some care. See details in the notes below for how to cook the rice either on the stovetop, in a rice cooker, or in the Instant Pot. While the rice is cooking, heat the rice vinegar, sugar and sea salt together in. To turn Japanese Rice into Sushi Rice, simply cook the rice with a little less water and flavor it with vinegar, sugar and salt.
Steps to make Sushi Rice:
- Place the rice in a sieve and rinse until the water runs clear. Leave to drain. Place it into a sauce pan, pour over the cold water place on a lid and bring to the boil (make sure it is a tight fitting lid, mine isn't so I have used cling film to seal it properly)
- Bring it to the boil for 5 minutes. Reduce the heat after this and cook it for a further 10 minutes. Then leave the pan to stand for a further 10 minutes do not take the lid off.
- Get a baking tray, then spoon on the rice so it is an even layer, add little by little the vinegar folding it in with a spoon, carry on doing this until the vinegar has all be absorbed. Leave it to cool the rice is now ready to be used for your sushi making.
- The rice should have a lovely silky texture to it! Enjoy
You can wrap sushi rice in nori (seaweed) for a quick snack or use. Mix together in a small pot, on medium heat until all solids are mixed together. Pour mixture on rice and mix well. Let the rice cool down for a few minutes until it reaches room temperature. Optional: Sushi rice is sometimes seasoned with dried kelp, called kombu.
